March 5th Cafeteria Staff Meeting Questions - Responses
We were able to respond to most of the questions that were taken at the meeting. Here are the few we didn't have answers or time for:
1. Are High Schools going to order clam shell containers as they already have Good to Go salad containers?
Yes, the container sizes are different as is pricing structure of our Good to Go salads @ $1.75 vs. Choice Bar salad @ $2.50.
2. Will all Provision II schools have Breakfast to Go next year? When will we know?
We are in the process of finishing scheduling all Provision II school Breakfast to Go Informational meetings. Cafeteria supervisors are included in htese meeting. If your meeting has already happened and you still have questions, contact your coordinator or Linda Dieleman.
3. Should we add labor hours for Cultural Proficiency training and meetings like this one to FasTrak?
Only include the hours that are worked in the regular business of running your cafeteria operation.
4. Will Jelly packets still be available for Breakfast to Go?
No, we will look to use this product up.
5. Legumes and beans are not a complete protein, so how do you get a complete protein?
Legumes and beans are an excellent source of protein and fiber. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) just released their recommendation that schools offer legumes/beans at least once per week.
6. Free & Reduced icon doesn't show if a student is F, R, Pd, from another school. Why?
You should be able to see student's eligibility at all schools. If you do not, please contact Kathy Sheehan.
7. Could Kathy have her power point information available on the computer?
Kathy and Dianne's power point presentation will be up on NS Forms under Training.
8. Can I change my personal email password? If yes, how do I do it?
Instructions for changing your personal email password are located in the Lotus Notes folder on NS Forms. Remember, do not change the school nutritionservices email password.
Earthgrains Reminder:
Earthgrains order forms are posted under the Vendor Info icon on your desktop.
